Mom's Club Landenberg PA

Today I had the opportunity to speak to 15-20 local mom's about the health and wellness of their children and our community.  It was great to share with them what has worked in my home and this generated discussion about things that they had tried and worked or maybe did not.

One item that we discussed was the menu in the school cafeteria.  I knew that ice cream was on the "menu" but it took this discussion to inspire me once again.  I never had ice cream as part of my lunch while was growing up...so is this really acceptable?

Fortunately, I can review my son's account to know what he is eating on a daily basis in the school cafeteria, and it is not ice cream.  So I guess I will have to start a letter writing campaign to have these types of sweets removed from the cafeteria?!?!  It is interesting, for class parties they often send home a note of approved food items.  For example, no cupcakes.  So why is ice cream acceptable in the cafeteria to buy for lunch?
